Ensemble in G (EiG) was setup in 2010 by the alumni of UTP Gamelan Group. The first original intent is for the alumni to keep performing, playing, and practising gamelan upon their graduation. From that initial set up, EiG was being invited by Tronoh Theatre Shop (TTS) and The Qum Actors (TQA) to perform and provide a background music for theatre performance named TTS TQA Bangsawan Tuah Hang Jebat in 2010. Besides that, in 2010 we had also been invited for several wedding in Perak.

Soon after that, we were given the trust for our first
corporate event, with the national oil company, PETRONAS in September 2011. It
is an opportunity and trust that we will never let go. Trust is all we need to
perform the best, beyond the expectation.

Despite young and short existence as EiG, our actual
involvement tallies back to our past experience in UTP Gamelan Group. EiG
consists of alumni from UTP Gamelan Group or also known Sanggar Kirana, where
during our involvement with UTP Gamelan had performed in numerous events
starting from the establishment of UTP Gamelan Group in 2002 until to date.
