EiG - Quick update at Crowne Plaza

just a quick update on our gamelan event today at Crowne Plaza Hotel, Kuala Lumpur. This is in conjunction of PETRONAS SKG10 Annual Briefing that being held for all SKG10 fraternities. 

it was an awesome event and I would like to thank the organizer for believing in us to be part of this event.

EiG - Our Milestone

Hi!

Sorry for the long idle. It seems that we are both busy with our daily life as well as the weekend. We are currently have few important events this year and next year. The main one for this year is basically our very first 'concert' at klpac which is scheduled in November/December. I would say that we are working very hard on that, especially changing our old songs from Gamelan UTP and composing additional songs for that. 

Indeed we are still a newbie in this industry, if we were to compared ourselves with those who had established themselves, but one thing for sure, we can trully rely on our comrades and trust our passion and love towards gamelan. 

for those who visit us and doesn't believe that we are actually exist, you are most welcome to see our pictures below (in ACTION!). sorry can't really show good pictures, its hard to take pictures while you yourself is one of the players. :D

on second occasion, our Gamelan UTP would turn 10 years next year, while we would turn 2 years old. so yup, next year we would go back and perform at our every own home as to celebrate the 10 years anniversary.

assalamualaikum and good day!

we are currently working on 'promotion' for Ensemble in G (EiG). prior to that, as a snapshot for our blog, enjoy picture below. we will upload later our pictures while in the training. its not all EiG members but later you will see who we are!

we can say that we are currently doing well at klpac. klpac now is and always be our homebase despite later maybe someone is willing to sponsor us a whole lot of instrument. but, for klpac, to provide such care in our early days, we will surely pay and contribute you back. 

everything is well prepared and plan now, and with the promotion later, surely we can do better, in serving the legacy and tradition. plus, someone is willing to do something underground, which later be more helpful for us to be better in our songs and skills. let us pray together!

we personally do not wish much, but we just want to be happy while playing gamelan at the highest level.

how to 'book' us, EiG

We would like to thank those who visited our blog. There was a tremendous traffic from 10 April, with nearly 500 visitors in 3 days! We had nearly 40 people who recommended our last post, not including our beloved siblings from UTP Gamelan Group and friends who helped to promote EiG.

As for now, we have received some queries and we would like to share it here. It will later be incorporated in 'Contact Us' tab.

       1. How do we charge the client that would like to us to be presence in their 

           event?

           Lump sum depending on the requirements (durations, songs selection, etc)
           We are currently finalizing the packages to be offered. So stay tune!

       2. Do we charge separately for the transportation of equipment and 

           personnel?

           Charges quoted includes both transportation of equipment and performers

           please made known that the cost is (applicable only in Klang Valley).
           Outstation requests, additional costs may apply. Client however may opt

           to provide transportation for our equipment.

       3. How long for the client to book before the event?

           Early booking is advisable as arrangement need to be made. Requests are
           also based on a "first come first serve" basis.

Terms and conditions are subject to change without prior notice.

After taking a long time to set up, we, Ensemble in G (EiG) are proud to announce that we are back into gamelan business. 

After a long hiatus upon our first performance accompanying Tronoh Theatre Shop (TTS) for a theater titled Bangsawan Tuah Hang Jebat, we had finally found our new home. Taking opportunity that lies in front you, as well as their open and warm hand in welcoming us is sure soothing for us who are shouting for a shelter. And never that we thought that we would be able to professionally be active again upon graduation from our very own UTP Gamelan Group. 

We would like to extend our highest gratitude to our first affiliates, UTP Gamelan Group for educating us to be a great gamelan enthusiast and our new-current home named the Kuala Lumpur Performing Arts Centre (klpac) for new shelter for us to start jamming again.

As of now, we are in the midst of setting up and transferring our mainstream 'voice' to this blog and hope that you will keep your support as well as pray for our success.
